Letter from my creator Jason Brazeal about his Space Monsters Magazine:

Space Monsters Magazine is excited to announce an open call for submissions for our inaugural ashcan edition!

This special edition will be printed and distributed to comic shops and other retailers to generate buzz and interest in our revamped magazine, which will be reminiscent of the classic publications of the past, such as Famous Monsters of Filmland, Warren magazines, and House of Hammer.

Tom Skulan from FantaCo and I are working together to bring Space Monsters to the shelves, and we're looking for talented writers and artists to contribute to this exciting project.

For our ashcan edition, we're seeking articles that focus on special makeup FX, both practical and CGI, with a leaning towards practical FX. We're also interested in articles about classic, new, and indie sci-fi and horror films, TV series, games, books, comics, and other related topics.

Each article will be introduced by Grimaldi, the host of Space Monsters, in a style reminiscent of the iconic introductions by The Cryptkeeper, Uncle Creepy, Cousin Eerie, and Vampirella.

In addition to articles, we're also seeking concepts for an 8-page black-and-white comic that will be featured in each issue. We're looking for extreme, exploitation-style sci-fi/horror content that will appeal to fans of the genre.

The ashcan edition will be 32 pages in length, with the 8-page comic taking up a significant portion of the publication. This is an opportunity to establish yourself as a writer or artist and potentially secure ongoing columns or one-off articles in future issues.

Power of Awareness🗿: The Connection Between Quantum Physics and Human Consciousness

I am thrilled to delve into the fascinating realm of neuroscience and explore the latest findings on the human brain's potential for quantum processes. A recent study from Shanghai University has sparked excitement among scientists and the general public alike, proposing that certain fatty structures in the brain may be capable of producing quantum entangled biphoton pairs, which could aid in synchronization across neurons.

The concept of quantum entanglement, first introduced by Albert Einstein, refers to the phenomenon where two particles become inextricably linked, even across vast distances. This phenomenon has long been considered "spooky action at a distance" due to its seemingly inexplicable nature. The study in question suggests that the fatty material called myelin, which surrounds the nerve cell's axon, provides an environment conducive to entanglement.

The researchers built mathematical models to demonstrate how infrared photons could impact the myelin sheath, imparting energy to chemical bonds and generating entangled photon pairs. These biphotons could serve as a "quantum communication resource" within the nervous system, facilitating synchronization across neurons and potentially explaining the rise of cognition.

The implications of this study are profound, as it challenges the long-held assumption that the brain is too hot and messy for quantum processes to occur. I am intrigued by the parallels between the human brain and quantum computing. Just as quantum computers operate on principles that defy classical physics, the human brain's inner workings are still largely unknown and defy our current understanding of computation. This study highlights the brain's unique ability to process information in ways that even the most advanced computers cannot.

As a manifestation and mindset coach, I am excited to explore the potential applications of this research in the realm of personal development and consciousness. The idea that quantum entanglement may play a role in consciousness is not new, but this study provides fresh evidence to support the notion. If we can harness the power of quantum entanglement within the brain, we may unlock new possibilities for human connection, creativity, and cognitive function.

In conclusion, this study represents a significant step forward in our understanding of the human brain's quantum potential. While the road ahead is long and challenging, the potential rewards are substantial. As scientists continue to explore the mysteries of the brain, we may uncover new secrets that can inform our understanding of human consciousness and the nature of reality itself.
